I tend to eat a lot at night, too. It is mainly because I feel like I don’t taste my food when I eat with my kids.
Remember this is cross-country; it is not the 100m sprint. Pick yourself back up and keep going.

July 29th, 2007 at 5:05 amI’ve been listening to the shows for a couple of weeks now, but this is my first time commenting. Just wanted to say I’m sorry to hear you’re having a rough time of it at the moment and encourage you to stick to it.
I know that faced with a similar situation I would be upset with myself for backsliding and ready to give up. DON’T DO THAT! Keep focusing on all the progress you have made and how good it has made you feel. You’re absolutely right when you say that a couple of years down the road this will be completely insignificant.
Finally there’s one other thing I’d like to add which I hope will encourage you to keep doing this. You’ve inspired me to think seriously about how to loose some weight, which I haven’t done for several years now. Almost every time I listen to the show it gets me thinking about what sorts of things I could be doing to help myself get into better shape. I’ve got a plan to get some exercise once a week, hopefully increasing once I get into slightly less pathetic shape. Haven’t really decided on what kind of diet I might be willing to try out but, thanks to you, I’m putting a lot more thought into what I’m eating than I did a few weeks ago, so that’s definitely good.
