Feedback: Vern’s Daily Self Portrait 42
Listener Vern Hart submitted this picture by way of feedback and included this text on the flickr page where this image lives:
Two months and twenty pounds later…
The left photo was taken on April 20, just before I started tracking calories at The Daily Plate.
The second photo was taken June 28. I tried to match the pose as well as I could. The difference of 22.8 pounds is subtle but gratifying.
Thanks to Tony Mast for introducing me to The Daily Plate.
Good for you, Vern! Conventional wisdom suggests that men have an easier time losing weight, but I’m not sure if I believe that any more. I’ve watched my husband struggle enough to know that every pound is hard won.
July 3rd, 2007 at 4:55 pmThanks!
The important thing is I feel good. And I feel good about my progress. I’m not going to post pictures about this, but I have to say that 20+ pounds makes a huge difference to my self esteem when I’m standing naked in front of a mirror.
July 3rd, 2007 at 7:39 pmWhat–no naked pics, Vern? I’m SO disappointed ;-).
July 5th, 2007 at 4:50 pmVery noticeable difference! Keep it up 🙂
July 7th, 2007 at 1:42 pmWow! What a change in 2 months. You’re very inspiring! Keep up the good work.
